The Project

Royal Knee is a heavy serif typeface. The forms are largelygeometric with some angles in the counters as well as curled tails,which the typeface makes its name. The regular font featuressomewhat open curves with a heavy weight.

Typeface Anatomy

Royal Knee has stems, bowls, shoulders with edges, and chamfered terminals. It can be used as a typeface for medieval or fantasy writings as well as for 3D projects.

Early Stages

The start of the project involved using legos to shape into four letters. The photo was taken into Adobe Illustrator, the letters were illustrated into vectors, and those vectors helped make the next letters
